Breakfast for Dinner

Today was one of those days. Lots of big plans, but then the day just frittered away. So tonight, it was breakfast for dinner.
Scrambled eggs with cheese
Homemade turkey sausage
Sliced tomatoes
Homemade applesauce
Were were all very happy. The turkey sausage is delicious, easy and not so fat-laden as regular sausage. No pictures as we wolfed everything down too fast...Here is the recipe( I believe from an old Sue Gregg cookbook).

Turkey Sausage Patties

1 lb. ground turkey
1 t. salt
½ t. nutmeg
½ t. sage
½ t. thyme
⅛ t. cayenne pepper, or less
Mix and shape into 12 patties. Fry in ungreased frying pan or bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes.

Tonight more knitting on the biscuit blanket.

Haiti is on my mind. I direct you to a blog by someone I respect, a mother of three Haitian children. She has wonderful insights as to ways to help. We are adopting the Change the World idea in our home and among friends. Samaritan's Purse is giving daily reports. Looking for a good place to donate to the relief effort? This is a good one.
