Don't Forget the Giveaway!

Pippin is destroying his sock monkey and the stuffing is starting to come out.  Note to self, no knitted toys for the puppy.
There was a time when I used to quilt.  I never truly enjoyed sewing my quilts together, but I loved the quilting, all by hand, no shortcuts.  This is one of my favorites.  So many of my quilts have faded, but this one has survived fairly well.  I always used them, covering the back of a chair, a bed or for eating popcorn during a movie.  My kids grew up getting out the "popcorn quilt" and popping corn before they would even think of starting a movie.  This one is now over the back of a loveseat and brings back memories of my kids being young and quilting friends.
Don't forget to get your chance in for the giveaway. (Basket not included!)

I finished the most lovely book today: Gilead, by Marilynne Robinson.  I have been trying to keep a book going and this has been a slow, savoring read.
Beautifully written, I'm anxious to read her first book, Housekeeping.
