More Doilies

I got thinking about doilies and decided to show you all the doilies in my house.  I may have even missed a few.  After knitting the Hemlock Ring Blanket, I will never take a doily for granted again.

This last doily was tatted by a relative, but I am lucky enough to have it!

  1. ever since I knitted my first doily about a year ago (none since - must rectify that!) I've come to have a new appreciation of them.

And a tatted one? By a family member? Treasure that!

  2. these are so pretty, Debbie. I used to have lots of doilies, then I had kids. I don't even know what happened to them! But yours are pretty!

  3. All the doilies are so awesome.
When I was in college I had to take buses to get to school and would crochet doilies so I have a large collection.
I wanted to learn how to do tatted but was never able to.

  4. I was the recipient of many of the crocheted pieces that my great-grandmother made. I'm so proud of them and remember them from my youth as well. I tatted one doily for my mom and when she died I took it back (before my sfather could give it to Goodwill or chuck it in the trash).
