Fiddlehead Mittens

These are serious mittens.  My first real venture in stranded work turned out well I think. These are a great stash buster.  Made with leftover Cascade 220, I had to use a size 3 needle to get gauge, which was not ideal really and my next pair will be better.  Berroca Ultra Alpaca Light seems to be a favorite for most people when knitting these and Webs has it in pretty colors.  The lighter gauge yarn will make a nicer fabric.  I lined them with some Alpaca fingering from my stash and they are perfect for Cincinnati winters. I see more of these in my future.  Such a fun and relatively quick knit!
