Fall Rest at Murphin Ridge

My husband and I had a great getaway at a quiet bed and breakfast in the heart of an Amish Community. I read an entire book and knitted to my heart's content.  It was a perfect time away.

“After the keen still days of September, the October sun filled the world with mellow warmth...The maple tree in front of the doorstep burned like a gigantic red torch. The oaks along the roadway glowed yellow and bronze. The fields stretched like a carpet of jewels, emerald and topaz and garnet. Everywhere she walked the color shouted and sang around her...In October any wonderful unexpected thing might be possible.”

  1. Beautiful photographs, Debbie. That first one is like a painting. If it were mine I'd enlarge and frame. Such a great capture. I shared it on my A Joyful Cottage FB page. Thanks for the nice comment on my blog. Love you and miss you. Hugs, Nancy
